Instead of turning for home when reaching Walmer, we head North. Passing Deal and taking in a close view of Deal Pier. Onward through to Sandwich Bay, entering the mouth of the River Stour through Pegwell Bay.
The lovely Pegwell bay is a large nature reserve, known for its’ migrating waders and wildfowl, plenty of time for a bit of spotting if you'd like to bring your binoculars. It’s here we find our friendly Seal colony.
Engines off and drifting pass in silence you can observe and photograph their natural inquisitiveness towards people while basking on the river bank and popping up around the boat for a good look at us.
After about 20 mins viewing we let you enjoy the thrill of a blast back to Dover Marina.
